I\u2019ve got a few words of wisdom I\u2019d like to share with you today on the topic of small business marketing strategies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As I get older I constantly have to remind myself that I don\u2019t \u201cKnow\u201d anything.<\/p>\n

The market is always the boss.<\/p>\n

Common sense isn\u2019t always right.<\/p>\n

One of those little chunks of wisdom is to Remember Who Your Customer Is\u2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This first lesson hit me after I was bored the other night at home and stumbled across an old DVD of Scary Movie.<\/p>\n

Now If you don\u2019t know what this movie is then it\u2019s ok.<\/p>\n

It just means you\u2019re out of touch with Pre-Teens and Teenagers these last 10 years.<\/p>\n

Before you think I know it all let me remind you that I only put this movie in because I had just devoured everything else I had during my recovery period after my health scare.Quickly; This movie is a spoof of the incredibly popular Teenage horror flicks that were coming out every 6 months the last 10 years.<\/p>\n

They take exact scenes from other \u201cScary Movies\u201d and remake them in a funny way.<\/p>\n

Kid\u2019s, I’m told, laugh their asses off at this stuff and go to see the movie on average of 2.2 times.<\/p>\n

So HERE IS THE REVEALING PART!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

After watching this movie I went to IMDB.com and researched the old reviews.<\/p>\n

Guess what I found?<\/p>\n

Lot\u2019s of this:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Isn’t it amazing to see just how low some people will stoop if you pay them enough?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

When you think of Movie Reviewers what or whom do you think of?<\/p>\n

My experience has been that they are a bunch of middle aged, educated, folk who don\u2019t have a clue what the younger generation wants.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m guessing the producers of Scary Movie don\u2019t give one shit about Jan\u2019s review.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d say they are laughing all the way to the bank.<\/p>\n

Why?<\/p>\n

BECAUSE THEY KNOW THIER MARKET<\/strong>\u2026.Jan doesn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

Teenagers and those in their early twenties get this humor.<\/p>\n

Old fogies like me may not.<\/p>\n

So next time YOU think you know your market don\u2019t be so damn sure.<\/p>\n

ASK your customers and clients.<\/p>\n

Use polls, surveys, whatever it takes..<\/p>\n

DO NOT ASSUME ANYTHING. <\/strong><\/p>\n

As a matter of fact I\u2019ve been getting a few emails trickle in that have alerted me to the fact that I may not KNOW what you guys really want.<\/p>\n

It turns out alot of you are getting fed up with the GURU\u2019s and are now looking at those fringe \u201cB\u201d IM Players that are providing some Kick Ass Value at decent prices.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m going to listen and you\u2019ll see me highlight some of those type programs real soon.<\/p>\n

So their ya have it Nerd Fan\u2019s ..<\/p>\n

Another lesson that I hope you USE!<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t rest on your laurels and think you KNOW anything.<\/p>\n
