Content Syndication<\/strong>? What is it? A question I’m getting asked a lot lately…. And how does it fit in with our SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Strategy.<\/span><\/p>\n

First let’s speak to the big elephant in the room. Matt Cutts<\/a> of Google has recently came out and said that “gaming the system” is NO longer going to work unless you want to pay a HUGE price in the form of a Google penalty.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you in Online Marketing and not paying attention to Matt Cutts then your missing out. He shares with you the latest and puts you on the “inside” of Google. <\/span><\/p>\n

Below is our exact step-by-step system. We call it our Content Syndication<\/em> “Wild Fire Method”. The ultimate goal is to drive FREE organic traffic to your posts, articles, and other content. <\/span><\/p>\n

1. Open Your Weekly Content Optimization<\/span> Checklist and Go To Second Part<\/h3>\n

NOTE: This can only be used AFTER a post\/article\/content is published.<\/p>\n

RED<\/span><\/strong> are the “Must Do Task” and always to be done.<\/p>\n

BLACK<\/strong> are the Items we want to do but IF we have limited time they come second.<\/p>\n

2-A (on for those who have not set up an account at Posterous) – First Set Up Account then go inside and set up your syndication feed as you see below.<\/h3>\n

2. Click on Auto Post Set Up in drop down menu<\/p>\n

3. Set up your accounts<\/p>\n

4. Your ready to post to posterous and it’s syndicated network.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

2-B Go To Blog Post and Grab Your Intro Paragraph and then send to Posterous. It then does all the work for you. URGENT: Pay attention to the steps in the picture as this is a key component in your Content Syndication System.<\/h3>\n

The tools I recommend for doing this?<\/strong><\/p>\n

For automation and scheduling for later I recommend: <\/span> www.bufferapp.com and www.hootsuite.com<\/p>\n

Both of these have chrome\/firefox bookmarklets and\/or plugins to help<\/p>\n

For on the spot syndication<\/span> I recommend the “AddThis” plugin for either chrome or firefox which allows you to just pick the service and automoatically post it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Our overall strategy and therefor tactics and tools change often as the Google Monster changes the game on us.<\/div>\n

Content Syndication is is about one thing. Getting eyeballs to your content. The methods change rapidly as a new platform (example: Pinterest right now) pops up almost daily. So testing and including those in your system should be part of what you do on a consistent basis.<\/div>\n
